The Cover
Here's the story: one day I was thinking about countries and emo music, like always, and I was thinking how most European countries have emo bands of some kind from the 90s or 2000s, and it got me thinking of what countries don't. One of those countries was Greece, which came up in my head probably because of its alphabetical and linguistic uniquity (the only Hellenic language ever, basically). So I checked Discogs and found this, searched SLSK, various other places, couldn't find it. It was like €5 and so I bought it ages ago, it took ages to come in the post from Greece and was wrapped in about 3 postcards with handwritten notes in them (which I am ashamed to say I have since lost). I remembered it yesterday whilst searching for the soundtrack CD of an obscure Japanese Movie I bought and was going to post on here, I never ended up finding it, but I did find this and a few other things I'd forgotten about.
On the first side of the split are Intwoscars, who were (obviously, if you read my previous paragraph) Greek. This is their only release. Their Drummer now lives in Austin and is involved in a lot of stuff by the looks of it.
Intwoscars consisted of:
Orestis Fakalos (bass, vocals)
Kostamos Giakoumis (drums)
Dimitris Roussos (guitar)
On the second side of the split are Fingers Crossed, who formed in Athens in 2002 and have 2 albums aside from this.
Fingers Crossed consisted of (at the time of this split):
Dimitris Geronikolas (vocals)
Yannos Paramithiotis (guitar, vocals)
Byron M. Theodotopoulos (bass)
Michalis Sotiropoulos (drums)
Musically and aesthetically the split is run of the mill 2000s emo, edgy, crusty, melodramatic, sort of poppy, and the lyrics are in English, which is kind of a disappointment, but overall it's decent
Download (id3 tagged WAV files for some reason, if you desire a different format, ask and I shall deliver)
